The best answer is that everybody should use impactlean! Impactlean combines time-saving features desired by Engineers with reporting and analysis features desired by Top Management. Engineers:Engineers will be excited when they how easy it is to make Value Stream Maps with impactlean. After data from the process has been gathered and entered, the Value Stream Map is literally generated instantaneously! This time saving feature makes it easy to keep Value Stream Maps updated with fresh data as the process changes and also allows for more time to be spent actually improving the process! Managers:Managers will be excited when they see the extensive charting and reporting capabilities of impactlean. Impactlean automatically generates performance charts for each map that is generated. This makes it easy to identify the highest-leverage opportunities for improvement in the process. Impactlean also solves a question that is consistently asked by management about Value Stream Mapping. Quite often comments are made that "it's nice that you drew out this map, but what is the bottom line financial impact?" impactlean solves this problem by explicitly building a cost model into each map that it generates. Comparisons can then be easily be made to show the anticipated cost savings of implementing Future State Maps.
Executives:In practice, projects cannot be implemented without spending money. As a result, top executives are interested in maximizing Return on Investment on capital expenditures. Impactlean addresses this issue by providing a Project Selection/Justification module. Up to eight Future State alternatives can be compared against one another to find the best alternative(s) to implement. Standard financial measures such as Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Net Present Value (NPV) are computed for each project possibility. Why wonder if you have selected the best alternative when you can be sure! |
